What Are You Practicing These Days?

As some of you know I am an avid golfer. Yes, a golf enthusiast. Yes, obsessed with golf as my hobby.  Just ask my wife how often I try to take in the latest on the Golf Channel and how often I love to get out to the golf range or play my weekly round of golf!

Whether you are a golfer of not, I am sure you can imagine that like most sports, practice helps you improve your game.  Practice has helped me to refine my shots and to enjoy playing better golf every year.

Likewise, being a follower of Christ takes practice. Yes, lots of practice. There are several spiritual practices that, moved by the grace of Jesus Christ, lead us to a deeper faith and stronger commitment to Christ and his church.  Gathering in worship, praying deeply, reading scripture, serving our neighbor in need, and generous giving of financial resources are practices that strength discipleship.

If you had to pick one spiritual practice to pursue with abandon this week, what would it be?

May God bless you as your practice and practice and practice!
