The Gift of Time

Last Sunday evening my family celebrated my father's 75th birthday. My sisters and their families gathered with my family at a restaurant to celebrate with him.

As we sat around the table kidding around, sharing stories, and laughing, I couldn't help but sit there amazed at all the years my father has enjoyed. And according to him, "I'm not finished!"

One of his birthday cards has a picture of an an older gentleman reading the newspaper. The caption read, "Glad you didn't make the obits!"

Every year of life is a gift from God. It is time given to us as a gift to use to God's glory.

Today, we might all pause for a prayer of thanks to God for the precious gift of life and time.

God bless you.
