This last Saturday I presided at the wedding of Ame Jackson and Grant McRandall at Maple Grove Lutheran. The scripture reading I preached on came from Hebrews 12- "Therefore since we are surrounding by so great a cloud of witnesses let us lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely; let us run with perservance the race that is set before us looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith..."
This couple had friends, relatives, classmates, and many others gathered together in worship to witness their vows. It was power and inspiring to see everyone and to hear all the love and support poured out for this couple.
Who are the people God has sent into your life to love you and support you? Who are the people who make up the great cloud of witnesses in your life?
May God surround you with all the love, care, and support you need.
